Dori Friedberg, BA, NE, FPC, is a certified Nutrition Educator and Food Psychology Coach who is passionate about helping people achieve their unique health-related goals. With nearly two decades of experience in the health and wellness industry, Dori is confident that her abilities can help her clients create lasting and positive change, promote consciousness and give them an overall sense of control, joy and excitement around choosing healthy food as medicine.
Dori began her career in health and wellness in 1997, when she first studied and started to practice massage therapy. Doing bodywork sparked an interest in holistic care and Dori’s desire to help people achieve overall balance grew even stronger as she worked on people daily. She knew she wanted to give more.
Dori received her BA in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on Physical and Mental Health from California State University Fullerton in 2007. Directly after graduating from CSUF, Dori moved to Santa Cruz, CA and studied nutrition at Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts. She earned her certificate in Nutrition Education in 2008. Dori became certified as a Food Psychology Coach in 2012 and this helps her to more greatly understand her emotional eating clients.
Integrating multiple areas of study help Dori to create an understanding of her clients on all three levels of body, mind and spirit. For without this balance, optimal health can be challenging to achieve. Dori pulls from all of her areas of expertise to come up with truly unique and personalized nutrition plans for her clients.
Dori offers individualized and supportive holistic care, striving to be a cheer leader and true sense of loving support for her clients. Her goal is to implement life lasting skills and to educate and empower her clients to take their health into their own hands.
